Kentaro Hayashida
I'm a Swedish game programmer and designer with a multidisciplinary
approach to game development. I have a wide skill set, including coding, game
design, graphic design and 3D modeling. I'm also a full stack developer, with an
interest in web and mobile applications.
I've had an interest in games for as long as I can remember. I'm also interested in technology, computers and design. Naturally, I started my education in upper secondary school with just that, at IT-gymnasiet in Uppsala, followed up by a bachelor's programme in Information and Communication Technology at KTH (Royal Institute of Technology) in Stockholm. However, I hadn't found my true calling yet. After a while, I decided to pursue a more creative field, and went on to study Game Design and Programming at Uppsala University, Campus Gotland.
I became hooked by game development, and decided that this
is what I want to do. I enjoy programming anything from gameplay, physics,
AI, user interfaces and much more. It's fun to venture off and try new things. I've
been using Unity as my primary game engine, and am experienced enough to develop
and deliver games of my own.
I'm very structured and enjoy working in teams of mixed disciplines and personalities.
I have a good eye for design and quality of content, not only for code, but also
in other fields. Therefore I like to engage in discussions that covers the aesthetics
of games. Having some experience in human-computer interaction, I'm also very aware
of the design principles that improves the user experience.
On my free time, if I'm not sitting at home learning or developing my personal projects, I usually play simulator games or go out on a ride on my motorcycle.
